My kitchen garden is getting started. It wasn't my idea but when a friend suggested it I was excited about the possibilities. This weekend I dug out ground cover, daffodils and a couple of bushes. I have been seed shopping for a couple of weeks but now the soil is ready after adding compost and lots of elbow grease. Mowgli kept me company and Dale helped with some digging too. I haven't grown veggies from seed since the kids were little in Rock Falls. I will have lots to relearn!
