Labor Day traditionally signals the official end of summer. Although I love the upcoming season, the closing of the pool does give me reason to say a sad farewell to summer. It's been a great summer for me. I spent many quiet times sitting in this chair or one nearby. After work I would enjoy relaxing with a novel. Saturday and Sunday mornings were quiet and luxurious. Floating in the water on hot days with Ashley, Julie, Tammy or Jennifer was especially fun! Since moving to West Des Moines, I have appreciated the pool as a benefit of apartment living. Since I don't need to mow, I have even more time for the pool.
Now I say "good-bye" to summer and look forward to the next season!
